Working with mallory
My work is driven by emotion and genuine connection. I edit with a cinematic feel and shoot with a mixture of storytelling and documentary approaches. For this reason, each session is unique to each client. I give some direction in posing but for the most part, we’re all just hanging out and I’m taking photos. My goal from our time together is to capture the real-life moments, while bringing our collaborative vision to life. Posing is the very last thing I’m worried about and I am not the photographer that will deliver a gallery full of 50+ images of you smiling at the camera.

Present, timeless storytelling. These sessions take place outdoors and include a minimum of 50 digital images with a personal print release.

Dreamy, in the moment documentation. These sessions typically take place indoors and cover a wide variety of session types including newborn, fresh 48, family, and couple. These sessions include 50 digital images with a personal print release.

Moody, cinematic storytelling. These sessions take place outdoors and include a minimum of 50 digital images with a personal print release.

Quick and simple, a sample of a full session. These are 20 minutes, weekday (Monday - Thursday), outdoor evening sessions with a maximum of 5 people and include 10 digital images with a personal print release.
Session fees cover the photographer's time and artistic processing. With each session, a digital gallery will be delivered via Pixieset. It is recommended that you print your photos through your gallery or a professional lab only. Unless otherwise stated in writing, images will be licensed for client's personal use only.
All full sessions require a $200 non-refundable retainer upon booking to hold the date, if retainer is not received the session will be removed from the photographer's calendar. The remaining session fee is due 24 hours before your session. Dainty session fees are due in full at the time of booking to reserve the date.
Sessions that take place more than 30 miles from Erhard, MN have additional travel fees, excluding the Fargo/Moorhead area. Travel not available for Dainty Sessions.
Sessions with over 6 people require an additional fee of $30/person.

These sessions are shot using both digital and film cameras and they are truly some of my favorites. The nostalgia of film can't be beat. These sessions include a minimum of 75 digital images (negatives are scanned and delivered digitally) and a personal print release.
FAQ
01. We're not good in front of the camera, how do you pose?
First of all, you're not alone in thinking that you're not good in front of the camera, I would say about 90% of my clients express having the same feeling. Trust me when I tell you that I've got this. My work is driven by emotion and genuine connection. I'll help guide you during our session to bring our vision to life and I shoot with a mixture of storytelling and documentary approaches. My goal from our time together is to capture the real-life moments while bringing our collaborative vision to life.
02. How far do you travel?
I'm available worldwide! I'm located close to the North Dakota border so I do travel the state of Minnesota and Eastern North Dakota for a mileage fee. Anything beyond that would require additional travel and accommodation. Please reach out and we can discuss exact rates!
03. Why can't i have more people for a dainty session?
With such a limited time frame, adding more people into the mix takes away from the experience and ultimately the final images. It wouldn't feel right to charge for and deliver images that I know were rushed vs images that align with my work.
04. Can I get the raw images?
No. My work is more than what I do with my camera. My editing process is very intentional and I shoot specifically for it. If you're looking for someone to just shoot and deliver unedited, non-curated images, I'm not your photographer.
